Wednesday's are a harder day for me to get out and walk since I have a meeting at 10 and another at 1 so yesterday I finally went out to walk at 3. It had been raining all day and I thought it had stopped but there was still a drizzle. I decided to power thru it and walk on the Bay which is a little risky because there is no shelter and not too any exits to shelter but positive thinking wills out. The rain cleared and the bird population was out in droves. There were ducks, geese and cranes. It was a great reward for withstanding a little drizzle. I'm so grateful that I have interesting places to walk to and that I'm still strong enough to do it!

We belong to a Community supported Agriculture. This time of year is challenging for us since we get so many greens, beets, radishes and really few of the other stuff like carrots and cucumbers. Neither my husband or I are big beet or radish fans but I still cut them up and add them to salads. With Thanksgiving and my birthday and trips to our place in the mountains we had like three weeks of bunches of Collards greens, kale, spinach, beets and radishes. Our delivery day is Wednesday. I managed to make a pot a pot of braised greens for dinner last night and cleaned out the whole fridge except the new stuff we got yesterday. we each got about 3 servings of veggies with dinner last night so I feel pretty accomplished.

Stayed within my calorie range +
Used up all of the kale, collard greens and other unidentified greens that we get from our CSA at dinner +
Got 7 servings of fruits and veggies +
Walked 6 1/2 miles +
I feel great today!
