Another day, another start.

Hi there. It's been a while.

The past few years have been a wild ride of ups and downs. Unfortunately it's been more up than down as far as my weight is concerned. So, after much serious thought and the heavy encouragement of several doctors, I am considering gastric bypass. I'm in the process of jumping through all the hoops to be approved for the surgery, but, truth be told, there's always a little part of me that hopes this time I'll actually make the changes to make weight loss permanent without needing to go under the knife. I'm at the point where I'm not opposed to the surgery anymore. I no longer feel like it's my own moral failure. I just need something more than what I've been doing (which, admittedly, fluctuates from nearly nothing at all to quite a lot).

Anyway, I'm back. Taking baby steps to create habits I hope will last. Every moment is a choice and every day a new beginning. Do my Best. Reset. Repeat.

I like the mantra: Do my Best. Reset. Repeat. Sounds like a great plan actually.

I used to have a pin I wore, in the 70s (of course), with the initials PBPWMGINFWMY. Black print on white button. It stands for Please Be Patient With Me, God Is Not Finished With Me Yet.

I'm thinking sometimes we need to be patient with ourselves in our adventure towards health and peace.

I look forward to learning from your experience and encouraging you onward.

PS. I may look to others as if I'm sitting down, but on the inside I often am doing a jig.

I considered WL surgery at one time but was too chicken to do it. Whatever you decide, SP folks are with you and will support you.
