National Chocolate Day

Ooh ooh. You KNOW what that means. I've never met a "holiday" I didin't like. Today was a little better however. To have chocolate, I had to open a small box of chocolates we'd bought for drop in company. I had three - one serving according to the label (not as much sugar as fat-good for me - great mouth feel). After that I tossed the others in the garbage disposal and ran it.

Yes, I thought about stashing them some place. They are GOOD chocolates. But that's the trouble, THEY ARE GOOD CHOCOLATES. So I did what I had to do - I destroyed them.

Now looking forward to a nice and healthy dinner instead: elk steak, asparagus, new potatoes and salad ... and because I was good and have calories left - a small glass of red wine.

Ah - when it works, savor the moment

    I have to agree with LOSEDAPOUNDS; milk chocolate makes me want more and dark chocolate satisfies a craving and nothing else. I buy the holiday Dove dark chocolates and stash them in a hard to open container. When I see no way around chocolate I remove only one or two pieces, depending how strong the craving.
    But I could never throw out chocolates... you are stronger than I am.

    Every day is chocolate day for me. I find dark chocolate or sugar-free chocolate chips don't make me bingey, but milk chocolate makes me go full on choco-haulic so I stick to the chocolate where 1 serving satisfies me.
