New Changes for 2017

I couldn't be happier that 2016 has finally came to an end. It was a very trying year both physically and emotionally.

It started with an impact injury to my hip and spine, I had Lyme and Mono and lost my stepmom during the summer. Find out my youngest was pregnant, then to find out she is expecting twins. Left an emotionally abusive relationship to move in with my daughter in Hawaii to help her during her pregnancy and to take care of the boys once they get here. Only to top the year off with a severely sprained ankle, I sprained two tendons on the outer side, pulled a bone chunk of the inner side and sprained the front of my shin. So 2016 can suck it!!!

But what I have learned, you can't control life but you can control how you react to it. I am learning that I don't have to explain myself, if I tell you no, I don't have to follow it up with an explanation. No is a sufficient answer. I am learning that I do not have to apologize for my feelings, they are my feelings and nobody has to understand them or feel the same way. And most importantly it is ok to set limits on how much BS you are willing to accept from others. I do not need to feed into their negativity and drama, I have the right to just walk away.

This year I am going to focus more on personal growth and putting myself first again. Of course, healthy eating and exercise is all a part of that.
