I still suck at finishing things.
I am still easily derailed by random things.
2016 was a pretty crappy year, in general. Last fall in particular sucked. But now that I have become aware of how I curled in on myself and hibernated in my house doing as little as possible I can start doing something about that.
I need to finish SOMETHING to prove to myself that I am capable of finishing anything (I can't even join a book group, they will read a book on my to read list and I get all contrary and don't want people telling me what to read).
I browsed the spark people challenges and found the 30 day jumpstart challenge. Since I haven't been working out at all and have been eating like crap this is a good challenge for me. Bodyweight exercises I can do at home, and a "hey do some cardio" without specifying what to do. I finished day one today, my arms are going to feel it tomorrow. But I also tracked my workout so I know how much I could do of each, and by the end I expect to see some improvement.
This is my one thing I want to finish right now. But the Y is having an open house this weekend, and I want to go sample a couple of the classes I have had on my to do list for a while. It would be nice to do a one time half hour class and get a feel for if I really want to do that class. I know with my schedule and my scatter brained planning I have to focus on this current challenge before I can add a class to my routine, but I know that is another element of my comfort zone I will have to tackle at some point.
As far as food it is back to basics. tracking water, and planning meals.
