Snow and progress

Friday, January 06, 2017

It snowed last night. Just 2-3 inches but in Oklahoma people freak out like it is a blizzard. I wasn't able to walk because my hubby would rather i not slip and break a hip. emoticon Yes, I am very clumsy and he knows me well. I felt like a child as I watched the snow fall....remembering the excitement of snow when I was a child. Then I did something ...CRAZY.. at 5:30 in the morning .....I woke up my children to see the snow emoticon emoticon SEE... Crazy!! SOO I have been awake since way to early. emoticon
in other news I have made a little progress this week so far...down about 3 pounds. I am trying to find "my" balance in what I eat and that is taking some time. I will get it figured out eventually. I hope everyone out there in sparkland is doing well and enjoying whatever weather you are being dealt. Happy day and happy sparking. Rachel emoticon

My husband manages a grocery store. Every time there is prediction of a few inches our little town goes nuts. emoticon People are buying food and supplies for the apocalypses. The power goes out for an hour they are out buying.......stuff that must be refrigerated emoticon I get a kick out of watching the self imposed chaos of people. Every snow "storm" is a fish story....by the last time you hear about it, it is the worst most destructive storm that has and will ever hit.....anywhere. My husband is not nearly as amused. emoticon

    lol, awesome.
I remember when I was a kid, my grandparents waking me up to watch the snow fall... of course, it was california and we lived within biking distance of the beach, so it was a rarity.
They lit a fire in our fireplace (seriously, who needs a fireplace in southern california?) and we watched the snow... which melted as soon as the sun came up. lol.

Your blog made me emoticon !! I live just north of the center of New York State - right where we get what's called lake effect snow. We average over 10 feet a winter. So... it was fun to read about the joy a bit of snow brought to you and your family! The first (and last) snowfall of the year make me happy too!

    Have a great Sparklin' Day!
