Checking in

Waited most of the day yesterday for the appliance maintenance guy to come fix my washer and do a bit of maintenance on my dryer.

Glad I was home, I started a winter cold. Runny nose, watery eyes, cough. YUCK. I didn't end up doing any walking or workouts -- was feeling too under the weather. Took some cold medication to get me through the night, and some more again this morning to get me through the work day.

Enrolled in the Spark Premium Plan so I can get extra help when I feel I need it. Sticking to my plan when it comes to food and water. Feeling positive about getting healthy.

Made the decision to upgrade my Garmin VivoFit to a newer model that has a heart rate monitor. I'm looking forward to receiving it early next week.

Winter weather has given my area a beating, but it's so pretty! Here's a picture I snapped the other day when I was in the field behind the high school just up the road from my house.



I feel lucky that I live so close to this, and yet, I'm also so close to the city.
