What are you doing to obtain your goals?

Monday, January 16, 2017

I have to get this out in the open. I am part of a lovely group on Facebook and it's with people I know and don't know. The moderator asked if we are all sticking to the goals we set for ourselves and what are we doing to get there. Here's my answer:

I do the squat challenge, walk 3 miles min 5 days a week, and I find some sort of upper body/full body routine on the days I don't walk. I do some upper body exercises with weights in between doings (like classes, talking the dog out, etc). I'm doing my best to work toward the goal and that's getting off of these darn medications! I hate medications and I cannot continue to be an active couch potato and have a good quality of life. I'm tired of being a 14/16. I've got two and a half years before I'm a teacher and I don't want to be the one every one laughs at because I can't walk the stairs without huffin and puffin.

I also track all I eat and all of my exercises. I don't track the house cleaning or the dirt bike rides. I do track the walks I take no matter how small and I use Runkeeper app for that. (I do NOT run).

Basically, what am I doing to obtain my goals? I'm tracking everything I do, but more importantly I am working out on a pace that I should be able to keep up and change my lifestyle not just my jean size. I really really need this to stick. I'm too close to the obese end of the range and am overly sick of taking medication. I don't mind my vitamins, but I'm not liking the depression meds and the cholesterol meds. :( I'm a sad panda and I have to change that.

Now I'm done and thanks for listening.
