Very funny and unfortunately I can relate.
My feet are cold and I just got a pair of socks and brought out to the living room to put on but oddly there was just one !... I had to backtrack all over the house and finally found it on the kitchen counter LOL!
( Gee! why didn't I think to look there in the first place!)
