I'm trying to sell my house and Kentucky law says when you buy a house you have to have a termite inspection done. The buyer had the termite inspection done and guess what? TERMITES! The current home owner is responsible for the initial treatment of the termites. The cost of the initial treatment, in my opinion, is outrageous. $700!!! OUCH!!! I have to pay it if I want my house to sell. It will come off the proceeds of the sale of the house.

I am so sorry to hear this. I sometimes think it's a scam, since the inspectors can be connected to the termite company. I've never known a house up here that doesn't get "flagged" on a sale, and I know we don't ALL have termites. I feel for ya. 1370 days ago
