February Goals

I'm going to try and set some realistic goals this month, and see how I do. I usually am all excited the first few days, then life trips me up. Hoping this time if I blog more it will help me keep the momentum going.

Goals for February are

- Lose 5 pounds ( I think this is very doable) emoticon

- Menu Plan - This will stop me from running to the store everyday or worse ordering pizza or chinese. emoticon

-Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes a day emoticon

My exercise plan is kickboxing 2 x/ week and I'm also doing a Beach Body program called 21 day fix. I am also going to be running on the treadmill 3x/week.

-Stick to my eating plan. The 21 Day Fix has an eating plan based on color coded containers, but basically I have to eat 5 veggies, 3 fruits, 5 protein, 4 carbs.

- Accountability and support. I belong to a great SparkPeople team called the Determined Under Dawgs. I need to read the thread daily and post daily. Also comment on some of the team members blogs daily. There is so much support in this group it's amazing.

I think all my goals are quite doable. emoticon

    Excellent goal for the weight loss !! We have some come on and I'll see such things as "My D is getting married and I want to be at 155 by then ! I WILL BE !! When they weigh 190 and the wedding is in April. It'd be so much easier if the weight DID come off in a few months. I always remind them "it didn't come on in a few months, it's not going to come off fast, unless someone is doing something not healthy. Keep on with the P emoticon Work of 1 to 2 lbs a week. YEAH YEAH YEAH !!

    Its so strange, but if I try to make a menu for a week, almost always I will not stick by it. If though I go every other day to the store, I do sooo much better as long as I STAY AWAY from the ice cream area !! Your plans are very doable.

    Should you have a day where you may not be totally pleased with any of this,,, hey the next meal or for exercise the next moment your back on track,,, it's totally doable. Please remember NO one is purrfect.

    Great plan for February. It looks like you used the S.M.A.R.T goal format. emoticon
    I have two comments: The 5x per week is perfect by alternating your walking and kickboxing.

    emoticon I would add some strength training - maybe core on those other two days? emoticon
