My Motivation

There are many reasons why I want to lose the excess weight and get stronger. At first I thought it was just that I needed to be in better shape to care for my daughter, but it's more than this.

My daughter is worried about me when her own life is on the line right now. It isn't fair to put the added stress on her of being worried about her mother when she is having such a tough time. She needs someone who is strong and doesn't add to her suffering. She also needs someone she can count on to be there.

And I need to be able to count on myself. I want to see the confident, strong woman I used to be in years past. Yes, she is still inside of me, but she slipped and fell during some very stressful times. I am just beginning to see the glimpse of her again.

Nurturing myself with food did not really nurture me...it kept me from dealing with problems. The best way to nurture myself is to take responsibility for eating healthy and working out. And I have been feeling better since starting this again.

I want to be able to count on myself again. This is my goal.
