Yesterday morning I went in bright and early to get my blood work done at the doctor's office, and was shocked to get the results already today. It turns out that I have high cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood sugar levels. The last two don't surprise me, as I've been pre-diabetic, or metabolic syndrome X, for a year now.
But instead of prescribing more and more medication, they have just prescribed me to implement more exercise and a better diet into my daily routine. Interestingly enough, I go tomorrow to The Onion Factory in Anderson, Indiana (a 35 minute drive from my home in Carmel, Indiana) for an information meeting about their 8 week "onion" camp. It is basically an 8 week boot camp style program where you have a course in nutrition, fitness, and wellness. It is not cheap, but well worth it. I lost over 50 lbs on it back in 2015/2016, and I am pumped knowing that I can do this again. The actual class doesn't begin until another week, but I'm fine that, as it gives me a week to prepare mentally for what is in store.
All I can say is "you're going down bad cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood sugar levels!"
