Slowly Adding Weight

Today was a good day in PT, because today we added weights to the mix. This is a good sign that I am progressing as I should. My lower back is doing tons better than it should. I'm still having upper back/shoulder pain, which is bothersome, but we're working on it. The good news is that we are starting to add weights to the mix, because the pain is now more tolerable. It is to the point that I possibly could live with it if I had to. I don't want to, but if I had to, I would.
So, that is somewhat good news. I have used the TENS unit on my days off from PT when the pain is bad, and it is helping. Plus using the pain patches really does help, too (they are NSAID, not narcotic). I do everything the PT says to do, so that I can heal faster. Right now, it is looking like I may not return to work until 3/8. Not what I had hoped for at all.
