I love our infrastructure and I'm so grateful for it. California is struggling with unprecedented rains. They create mudslides, flooded roadways, and downed trees all over my neighborhood. Last night I drove home from work with traffic cones all over the place since the street I have to drive down was flooded. On the radio, the news reported a downed tree on the highway. I knew that someone was out all over putting cones down on flooded streets and that a team of folks was out diverting traffic around the highway section and others were cutting the tree apart and hauling it off.
Where would be without all of these wonderful people to help us get things back together? I am so grateful to pay taxes that ensure that any emergency around here is taken care of right away. If I had to be a mayor or governor I wouldn't know where to start.
