A Good Day All Around

Today is a gorgeous day out! It is in the mid to upper 60's here in central Indiana, which is totally NOT the normal here in mid-February. But I'm not going to complain. Not one bit! And it was a nice day for a drive to another town about 45 minutes away for my first Onion Camp. Today's class was an introduction in what constitutes the good, the bad, and the ugly of carbohydrates. Yes, I've taken the class before, but it was good to go through it once again. We also went over things like how the daily recommendations are divvied up by percentages based on calorie intake for carbs, proteins, and fats. This all will help me in my meal prep this week.
Yes, I said meal prep. I don't have the $$ right now to buy the food, but will hopefully by next week. So, fingers crossed that I can get back to work by next week. I'm doing tons better. I could take the TENS unit with me to work, and wear it at my desk if my back gets sore again. Or could work from home, except for any meetings I need to attend to (I only work 15 minutes from home). It is time to start thinking about these things. I'm ready to go back. I'm ready to prove to the world that I can be a healthy contributor to the world of working adults.
But why am I saying it is a good day? Well, I feel great in all areas. Despite the back injury, I actually feel good today. I just took the TENS unit off (had to wear for an hour after that long drive to and from class), and now I'm feeling better. I'm feeling on top of my game emotionally and mentally, which has been a long time coming. And it isn't mania kicking in. It is reality that I can be healthy.
So, I'm being positive today! I'm going to make the best of today. So, off to the grocery store...then the gym! Yea! Elliptical, here I come!
