Post-Whole30--Day 4

I decided to reintroduce wine first and the differences were very interesting. I bought a very nice bottle of French red that I already know I enjoy from my local wine shop. I had 2 glasses over a period of about 4 hours, during suppertime, and was graced with a pretty bad headache right away! I have not had that reaction before. The next day I felt fine...no hang-over type feeling. So I tried a couple of glasses of white when I met a friend for dinner the next night. No headache. But boy! The following day I was tired and dragging all day! On Friday, I tried the red wine again and again had a headache. So that tells me that red wine now gives me a headache. I felt fine the next day again. Yesterday, I met a friend for lunch and had 3 glasses of white wine over a period of 3 hours. Definitely felt a buzz from those but no headache until I went home & had the last glass of red from my bottle over supper. Slight headache at that point. Today I feel fine.
Analysis--red wine gives me a headache. Wine in general leaves me fuzzy-headed & eating things I really didn't want to eat. It messes with my determination. I knew all these things before (except the headache part) but it didn't bother me. Now that I know how great I feel without those reactions, I really am not interested anymore. So I will probably keep a bottle of white in the house. If I feel like a glass or two on a Friday evening after work, I will allow myself that but no more than 2. And if I meet friends for a meal out, I will allow myself up to 2 glasses of white wine. That is my first Reintroduction analysis. Next up: Legumes.
