New strategy - summer goals

Monday, March 06, 2017

I am going to do 3 small steps to retraining my mind away from binge eating and retraining my muscles to be toned & strong: 1: I am going to stop allowing myself to have a "grazing" style diet where I eat all the time and even bring food along with me when I go places - I have always incorporated a style of eating where I snack but I try to do so healthily - but I am starting to think it is one of my biggest downfalls b/c I cannot easily keep track or control of what I am eating - I am addicted to sugar and chocolate and definitely use my grazing style as a quick excuse for grabbing "just a taste" of one of the chocolates I have hidden around or the kids sweets in the cupboard. If I try to now resign myself to ONLY eating at designated times (3 full meals & 2 preplanned snacks a day) I think it will make me way more aware and cautious about what I am intaking daily. I will also have a full glass of water either before/during/or after each meal and designated snack that way I help myself reach hydration goals (adding in my workout water bottles, usually drink 2 bottles each workout, and some water after waking up and some before bed I will make great progress by being well hydrated at all times!!) 2. Going to make sure to do at least 40mins of cardio 5x a week with heart rate monitor for counting calories burned and keeping HR up for entire workout 3. Going to do strength training 5x per week focusing on different body parts. With these commitments and changes I hope to really see some changes by summer. I gained about 30lbs over my goal weight in the last 2 yrs! So I am going to get down to my goal by the time the kids are off for summer break & I will be soooo proud of myself :) I also NEED to start with a little more genuine self-love Vero Ps I tried to post a picture here but it's not working so I will add it to my photos folder hopefully other ppl can see it too
