Update on Tigger

Thank you for all of the well-wishes for Tigger. She's been crying for food, although yesterday she would eat almost nothing. Today, she's slowly increasing her food intake. Of course, now that she may be rounding the bend, Bear vomited last night and wouldn't eat today. In a way, that's probably a good sign, because it means that whatever's wrong with Tigger, it isn't likely to be something like lymphoma (one of the possible diagnoses). So off we all three went to the vet's today. The vet was somewhat pleased with Tigger's progress in that her appetite seems to be returning, although slowly.

Both kitties got treated with fluids and anti-nausea medications. I decided not to have any further tests at the moment, since Tigger seems to be improving. The vet thinks that the problem may have been caused by something they ate. Since they’re indoor kitties, and I don’t have any house plants (Bear would eat them), it must have been a bad can of food.

I’ll be keeping my eye on them over the next few days, and hope that things improve further. Tigger just informed me that she wanted something further to eat, so it looks as though we may be over the hump. Now I hope Bear soon follows suit. Fingers crossed!
