Melting, wait... Walking!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day! It was windy and almost 90 degrees but that wind cleared out the smog and the sky was fabulous! The Western Regional Little League Headquarters is less than a mile away so I took a picture to share!
I had a busy day yesterday, and evenings are packed with teaching my little Cubbies at AWANA. I normally am so tired by the end of the evening so I started telling myself: Gina you can't walk today, you have stuff to do tonight. But I had put MapMyWalk on my phone and I wanted to use it. So I told the old me to get with the program and quit making excuses of why I don't have time for walking when I actually do. I walked, sweated, panted and felt like I was dying/melting as I was in the midst of it but when I got home I was so happy with myself. This is what it feels like to have a victory and I LOVE the feeling!! My husband looked at me and said good going! That is not normal either. I don't know why but I am starting to feel more in control of other areas of my life and that is a big deal for me.
I'm off to see Beauty and the Beast with my daughter and friend to celebrate the new Gina, later on I'll be walking in the heat but who cares. I'm walking anyway!
