Spartan Up!!

Hello Everyone! I know I did a disappearing act on Sparkpeople, but that does not mean I havent been doing well. emoticon

I discovered Beachbody back in October - after my sister pestered me to try it for weeks on end. I ended up buying the 21 Day Fix Extreme program, and it was love in 3 weeks. I lost 7 lbs in 21 days, and enjoyed the progress I saw in eating right and only having to work out 30 minutes a day. I took a break from running from October - December and did 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme and lost 20 lbs. - I have kept it off and maintained these last 4 months.

I still have 15 pounds to go to meet my goal weight. I incorporated running back in January and its been hard to balance running and beachbody workouts without feeling like I am working out all evening. But I hope to find that happy medium soon. I ran a 4 miler race on March 18th, and ran my fastest time ever in 42 minutes which ended up being a 10:40 min/mile pace!

My friends talked me into doing another Spartan Race and I just finished that last weekend. The strength training from the beachbody workouts really helped tremendously as I was able to do almost all of the obstacles on my own and was surprised at how much I improved fitness wise and could tell in my performance. I go on vacation starting Monday, April 17th and I am going to use this time to reset and start another beachbody program, not sure which one yet, but I want to have the last 15 lbs off my summer, so time to get serious again! Plus I have a full race calendar too (posted below). So here are some pictures from the Spartan, and I will try to check in more often, even though I don't count calories anymore, just containers!!! LOL
