Well folks.... here is an over all look at my progress since my creating a STANDUP workplace environment for myself:
Each marked off section is SUN through SAT.
PURPLE: typical week prior to stand up.
RED: short staff week looked like prior to stand up
(may not change much since I will still be doing ALOT of running around t those times)
YELLOW: first week stand up. testing the waters so to speak =}
GREEN: giving it my all to move more and stand up for inactivity =)
(of course an extra long weekend cut the end of week down just a bit)
As the picture shows, my moderate and very active minutes may not have changed very drastically but my light activity has really jumped during my work week. My steps have increased slightly from an average of 10-12 thousand steps (pushing it to meet my 10,000 step and 45 very active minute goals) to an average of 12-14 thousand with incentive to push to 15,000 just because I'm so close.
Saturdays are typically better at home than Sundays. Saturday is our run around, get things done day. Sundays are stand up but not moving enough to trigger tracking since its prepping in the kitchen and house work day after a mostly sit down service.
All in all I'm impressed with the way things are going. BTW, as I stated in my previous blog, the set-up adds a touch of fun to my day too. A little dancing around on my activity floor mat, and/or a bounce or two on the yoga ball chair, really helps my inner child step in to push aside the everyday stresses of my big person's job. WIN-WIN!!
Well, I'm off to get my SonDay stuff done. Wishing you all a Happy Easter and a healthier, happier tomorrow!!!
