England 2017 Nan's birthday

Wednesday, April 26, 2017

The Man and I went to England to visit his Mum for her 90th birthday. She is a jewel! Her 94 year old sister joined us for much of the time and we treated the ladies to as many outings as they could handle. Not the most flattering pic of me, but they couldn't believe that I could turn the camera around on my cell phone. LOL!

First off, our gift was a shrug, hand crocheted by Earthy Child, one of my friends. She's the one that crochets bags and such from grocery store plastic bags to keep them from the landfill. I told her Nan's favorite colors and she did a lovely job!

We took them to The Marchment Arms in Hemel Hempstead for her birthday dinner. Wonderful food and the best wasn't the cake, though that was cool. The staff gave her a birthday card! She was beyond thrilled!

I am incredibly blessed by this lovely lady and the way she raised her son to be such a loving, caring gentleman.

This was in a pub build in 1534!
