House washing and taking the winter cover off of the pool.
Saturday, April 29, 2017
Our son and his fiancee came over today after the thunderstorms ended this morning. We had brunch together of sausage and eggs, English muffins or toast, and coffee. Our son brought a power washer with him to clean the pool cover off. The winter pool cover had stagnant water and submerged leaves on top of it.
Our son started to clean the back end of the house and the cellar entrance with the power washer after he finished cleaning the pool cover. We bought soap to put in the power washer and then he redid the back side of the house and one side where we have a concrete side porch. He really did a good job! He stayed to eat supper with us while his fiancee went out to eat with her parents. We grilled hamburgers, bought some potato salad and had tomato slices, onion slices, pickles and condiments for the burgers.
I wanted to get some perennial flowers that someone is selling for $4 a plant today, but that didn't happen. I also want to get some lilies and pink phlox to transplant from the church's property. The flowers are mowed down every year.
