Day 22 of exercise in 2017
Walked 21 minutes 100 calories burned

Yesterday, I had my hair permed, cut and styled for the wedding. Today, we took Bayau for her nail clip and bordetella shot, went to the pool place to pay for some parts for the filter and I bought pool chemicals, and then to Dollar Tree for a shower cap since I have to wait to wash my hair so the perm can set.

I had hoped to get to the kennels this morning, but I didn't feel well last night and did not get up and dressed early enough. They close at 10 AM on Saturdays and are not open on Sundays.

Bayau made a fuss about getting her nails clipped. I had the vet tech muzzle her at the start since this was the first time she has had her nails clipped since we got her (August a year ago).

It has been a busy morning and I will need to make a list for next week to get things done. It feels good having some things taken care of. It's 1 PM and I haven't eaten or had my first cup of coffee.

Hubby has been doing a good job of keeping track of what we need to buy for groceries and running to get them.

My sister made a beef roast in the crockpot and had a sauce with celery and carrots in it. She made cornbread in a cast iron skillet and had corn and horseradish sauce for the meat. I think she outdid Mom's cooking with this meal, it was delicious.

When we got there she and her husband were cleaning and I got some ideas for my own house. My sister's husband puts everything away since my sister has trouble walking and standing for very long. He took something out of the area where we were, each time he went through.

The beautician came to my sister's house and had them put a sheet down and I sat on a chair on the sheet while she permed my hair. She washed my hair in the kitchen sink and it reminded me of the Toni perms Mom used to give us at home.

When she was finished she took the sheet outside and shook it out and my brother-in-law took it to the bathroom where they have a washer and dryer that are stacked. My sister has arthritis of the spine and cannot bend at the waist, she has to squat. Her head is permanently bent forward and it looks like she is looking down. She had cataract surgery and is doing fine. She said the worst part was getting an IV, but since she looked at a surgery online, she saw from the outside looking at an eye, but when it was done, there was no pain or discomfort with the actual surgery and the IV didn't hurt when it was put in.

My nephew came over before we left, Koty's Dad, and said he had some shirts and sweatshirts for our son. He said they didn't fit him and I think they were Koty's, but that won't bother my son; he wears his clothes until they are rags. Koty's Dad was very quiet and kept looking out the window. It is as if he is distracted. I tried to make him laugh, and he did, but none of us will ever be the same since Koty's death.

When we came home today from doing errands, there was a bag in the mail box to put canned food in for the food bank. When my husband pulled it out, I couldn't help myself and I started singing, "Papa's got a brand new bag," lol!

Sounds like a wonderful day. So happy your sister did this for you. It certainly sounds like they are very organized. I try to make all my trips count too!! I find it easier to keep things put away right after I use them-DH not so much!! emoticon

We got the same bag in our mailbox and it is such a shame they wait till this time of the year as by now most of the snowbirds have returned to the north. They don't collect nearly as much down here for that reason. I filled 3 bags out of my pantry - I get lots of BOGO's and as we have changed our diets pretty drastically, I don't mind donating things we really shouldn't be eating now. I also cleaned out items that didn't get rotated to the front of the pantry and had gone way past their expiration date!

This is a nice, exciting time for you. I find weddings hard, because my son won't experience it. That may be part of what Kody's dad is thinking. It's tough
