What Works & What Doesn't

I have lost and gained the same three to four pounds over and over...But I have learned what works and what does not work well.
I make a lot of excuses and have tried so many different "diets" these past several weeks. However, to be honest, I have not been successful at because I have gone over my calories allotment.
No joke, within the last two months, I have tried the Mediterranean, Low Carb, 17-Day, Whole 30 (for 3 days), and 3-Day diets.
What works is what we all know: staying within my calorie range, logging everything I eat and exercising. How easy is that? Now, why can't I just stick with it?!!!!
What doesn't work is giving up at the end of the day. By the way, low carbs does not work well for me either. I do lose the pounds, but have no energy.
