Insignificant (poem)

You see a shell
you don't see me
for I am hidden far beneath

I'd tell you what was wrong
but the words escape me
and I can't even explain
why I feel this angry

I've built a wall
I've locked the gate
my fears will soon
become my fate

And if I would simply disappear
they would all still carry on
as if I were never even here.

    I was intrigued by your poem, and then looked over a lot of your previous blogs. I know, after reading those blogs, that there is a Hero in them, looking for a ray of light to guide her up and out into the bright and glorious outside. It is there, the light, you know. You can find it, though the way will be twisty-turny and very terrifying at times. You must wander through the Hades of your memories, slay the demons of your fears and traumas, and master the maze of your history to enter into the sun. But that is the great thing about Heroes...they don't give up. Yes, they get tired. Yes, they get discouraged. Yes, they get hurt. But the magic that makes a Hero is stronger than all of that. So be brave, be strong, persevere. The sunlight is waiting for you.

    Oh I have felt this way many times in my life. I hope that you are not feeling this way.

    Each and everyone of us has a purpose, a role, a reason to walk our path. The road is rarely easy but so worth traveling. I would love to see you along that road--to share in your good times and struggles.
