Summer 5% challenge

Very soon we will be starting the Summer version of the 5% challenge. It doesn't really have much to do with losing 5% of your current weight but it is a chance to get some self-instilled accountability because you have to enter your weight loss progress every week and the number of minutes you spend on fitness every day as well as how well you do the "living a good life" activity that changes every week.

We have several teams that compete with each other to get the most fitness minutes, lose more weight, and live the good life by doing a pre-selected healthy activity each day for a week. It's a chance to be your best self for 8 weeks and get the intensive support of a whole team of people. I have been on the Teddy Bear team for many years and they are one of the most supportive teams on the planet. If you want to check it all out you can by following this link.

    These challenges are so valuable for accountability. I'm sorry it took me 8 years to discover them and that I was still invited to participate even in maintenance.

    Sadly, I'll have to skip the summer challenge since I'll be traveling about half the time.
    Accountability requires access to a scale! LOL

    The Spring Challenge was my first time on the Teddy Bears and I really enjoyed the team. And even though I was recovering from knee surgery I was able to get in a reasonable amount of exercise (those dreaded leg exercises kept me consistent) and before we ended I had started walking Daisy. I can't wait for the Summer Challenge to start!
