A little motivation goes a long way

I have my next follow up visit with my doctor on the 19th. According to my scale, I'm down a total of 22lbs so far. My clothes fit different; I feel different. But, I'm still not exercising.

I decided I needed some tangible motivation to get me going on the exercise. Brainstormed with my roommate and we decided that a vacation is the best motivator for the both of us. There was a lot of prayer involved and a lot of confirmation from God and others on our decision.

We are aiming to take a 7 day Caribbean cruise in the spring of 2019. Whether or not this happens is almost irrelevant, the purpose of planning a BIG vacation like this is that it becomes a HUGE motivator not just to lose weight, but to get in the best shape of my life. The excursions are all very active and I want to be able to do any of them I choose.

Two of my friends have expressed interest in joining us and I hope they can, but either way, I'm going to start with exercising baby steps and ramp myself up from there.
