Shopping for clothes has never been my favorite activity. Years ago, I actually swore off shopping (especially at plus size stores) until I reached my goal. Well, I've lost so much weight that nearly all of my pants were falling off of me, so I bit the bullet and went to goodwill. Not sure of what size would be right for me at this point, I grabbed a bunch of different sizes. 16's are too big. 14's generally fit just right. But there were a couple pairs of size 12's that were really nice pants, so I grabbed those too, thinking there's no way they'll fit now, but maybe someday. Well, I had to do a little dressing room shimmying, but I got both of those size 12 jeans on and zipped and I could still breathe and move. They're definitely tight, but given my trajectory recently, they won't be for long!
This is the smallest I have ever been as an adult. Several years ago, I got within about 10 pounds of this point, but then I gained it all back. This time around, there's no stopping me!
So now I have a question for you guys: How do you determine your goals (either for weight or for clothing size)? Size 12 always seemed like a pipe dream for me, but now that it's my reality, I'm having a little bit of trouble wrapping my mind around what size I could be shooting for... any thoughts on what's worked for you?
