When I was a kid, I used to end up in the ER pretty much like clockwork. Whether it was getting my shoelace sucked into the spokes of my bike and sliding down the street on my chin, or picking up the wrong end of a bowie knife, or getting a ring stuck on my finger, etc. It seemed to calm down when I grew up. Then a whole new set of problems. Fillings become root canals and crowns, repetitive back pain, falls followed by shoulder surgery, weird random aches and pains and now hand surgery I'm not sure did the trick (trigger finger - finger now stuck in a different joint and feels more like a break 3 weeks after surgery- next ortho in 2 weeks) so this too shall pass. But I feel like time is running out. Every year I wish I had started exercising again much earlier so I wouldn't be at such a disadvantage now. And yet that's not always enough motivate me. I have found Charity Miles now, which makes me want to put miles on the app, but for some reason has linked to my hubby's FB page instead of mine... But I figure any win for a charity is still a win. Someday I'll be doing this for myself again. But for now, it's reason enough.
