Not another "starting Monday"!

This coming Monday will be the 4 week anniversary of my last "Starting Monday". I have eaten within my daily calorie allowances and walked at least 5 days a week. I have not eaten candy, cake and reduced my carb intake. Nothing extreme and I am down 13 lbs. so far. I have realized I am not someone who can have sweets and junk food in moderation but I can just say "No" easy enough. My fear of dying from a heart attack, every time I have a pain, is slowly subsiding. I am regaining lost energy. I am rediscovering my worth day by day. I truly believe losing weight is a mind game. It takes time to rewire all the years of unhealthy food associations. Celebrations do not need a cakeand a large "calories be damned" dinner to be meaningful. Bad days do not get magically better with ice cream. Most importantly, this journey is not all or nothing. I have to take things one step at a time and understand sometimes there will be 1/2 steps. 😊
