Think I might be getting better....

Friday, July 21, 2017

Still don't have any energy but didn't need to nap several times today and carried my sewing machine and a box into the house. I even managed a load of laundry so I can now put that empty suitcase away.

Considering where the dog is laying I think we might have a storm coming. He's as far into the corner under the computer table as he can get. It's amazing to watch him wiggle into a space in front of my feet so he's safe. If I go into another room he comes and pulls on my shirt to get me to come back here where he's safe. Animals are really so interesting.

I even heated up a can of tomato soup and made a grilled cheese sandwich for dinner. First time I've felt like cooking something. Tomorrow I'm going to have to empty the dishwasher and put the dishes back into it. There are no more spoons in the drawer for my nice fruit mixer I made. Blueberries are not a favorite of mine but if you throw them into a cut up quart of strawberries their not so bad.

My dog used to hide under my computer desk a lot in her younger days.

I haven't had a grilled cheese sandwich in ages. That sounds soooo good!

Your dog is just like ours! I've seen our 100-lb dog who can lay his head DOWN on the kitchen table wriggle under the footspace at my desk so I can protect him from the thunder!

Glad you are feeling better and getting your energy back.

My cat doesn't like severe weather at all. She will open a kitchen cabinet, climb inside until the storm is over. She also seems to sleep in the smallest shoe box she can find. Somehow she fits herself in. I make sure she has a variety of boxes and change them out periodically. She will check out the new boxes. Some she likes, some she doesn't. Love my cat emoticon

Our dog has finally gotten over his fear of storms, but gunshots still scare hm and one of our neighbors fires a gun to keep the geese out of his yard. Milo cowers even in the house. Lately he's also been afraid of his food bowl. He takes a bite and jumps back like something is trying to get him. I don't know why. Tonight I took his collar off when he was eating trying to figure out if it was his jingles hitting the side of the dish that scare him. I call his license and rabies shot thing his jingles, because when I hear them jingle I can figure out where he is in the house. He still took a bite and jumped back. I agree animals are interesting. It's supposed to rain here in the early morning. We had a hard rain this morning before I got up, and I didn't hear a thing. My husband said it rained hard with a lot of wind, but it didn't last long.

I'm glad you seem to be feeling better. The prednisone must be working.

I like my blueberries in my oatmeal. I never had them until I was grown up, and now they are one of my favorites especially in jelly, and of course pie, but I haven't had any pie for quite awhile! We got a new dishwasher and I love it, but my husband isn't used to it yet. He's run out of big plates, so I told him to use a smaller one, and we'll get the dishes washed when it's full. He seems okay with it, probably because it's better than washing them all by hand like we've been doing!

Well I hope you have a restful night and feel even better in the morning! emoticon
