* Yesterday was day 161 of my 10+ fitness minutes streak
* Today is day 101 of 105 (96%) blogging for this challenge (details below)
I realized why I felt so wiped out yesterday. Turns out my youngest son and I both caught some kind of small bug. It could have been from the amusement park Friday when we hung out with thousands of other people :). At least it's not bad at all and seems almost gone for both of us.
I'm just about finished with another article that builds on the SparkEarth/SparkAmerica one from a couple of days ago. I should be able to post that tomorrow morning. It's fun talking to people about this and seeing the positive response and good ideas.
I took it easy with fitness today. My highlight was tossing a tennis ball with my youngest son. The best part is he has been practicing throwing with his off-hand as a training exercise. This is also great brain training. So much of the time he threw with his left hand and I threw with my right hand.
I'd have to say that he did a fair amount better with his off-hand than I did. But we both had fun.
I also chatted with him about focus while we tossed. His big brother sometimes says mean things to him (like big brothers do) and he has a hard time just letting it go and choosing not to let this bother him. So I talked about how the best athletes get to be the best in part because they are able to do such a good job focusing on their goals and tuning out all the "noise" and distractions. For example, you often read about how many NBA athletes will turn off social media once the playoffs start so they can completely focus on their goals.
Of course, I had to show him how this relates to the Focus Cornerstone for SparkPeople :).
And working to tune out the noise/distractions is something we can all think about with our goals.
Are there any distractions that hold you back from reaching your goals?

In addition to pressing the button, if you like posting comments, feel free to make a comment in each blog. I love seeing all the comments on the first blog with people saying "I commit to.......". Also feel free to post/track any of those goals to the community goals feed if you'd like.
Come back and push the button as many times during the day as you'd like to re-affirm your commitment -- like if you are wavering on making a healthy vs. unhealthy choice or just need a little extra push. All you need to do is refresh the page and the button will also refresh. Remember to subscribe to my blog if you would like to get an email alert right when I publish.
The button will remain on my blogs for now, but we might move it to a more prominent location at some point.
I am committed to a couple of goal right now:
1) Getting this challenge launched. I think this could be a lot of fun and a big way to help people, so I will work on this almost every day at least some.
2) I'm working to build the fitness level for my kids in various ways that I'll share more about on future blogs.
3) A commitment to keep my 10+ fitness minutes streak going.
SparkCheers and thanks for your support!
