Almost human today...

Sunday, July 23, 2017

The cough was much worse today but I felt almost human and was able to get in some exercise, laundry and cleaned the kitchen. Those things all needed doing all week but I just couldn't bring myself to stand up long enough to do stuff.

All the bedding for the bedroom finally got washed after the house sitters were here. I've been sleeping on the couch because it was easier to just throw a clean sheet over it. But now the bed is all back together and putting sheets on when every time you bend over you cough was a challenge.

Also the dishwasher got all taken care of and filled again. And I burned almost 400 calories doing all this stuff. Wow for me after the last week that was a busy day.

The dog allowed me to watch some TV and crochet a couple of hours today and I did sit and play some computer games for a while. So I wasn't up and moving all that much but enough.

The stuffy fuzzy head has been here most of this cold so I don't think it was the drug but today that nice prednizone stuff really hit me. I was kind of jittery all day, that is a very normal side of that drug. I am also starving today. I did eat all my calories and then some and still want a snack before bed. Not sure what that is going to be yet but I'll have something.

Tomorrow I have to go into town. The old grocery list is getting kind of long and I drank all the sparkling water I brought home. So I need more of that. Can't wait to see if after a month of no diet pop I lose some weight. That would be so good.

Your energy is coming back but those coughs take forever to clear up. Everything just takes time and we have to live it a minute at a time. That prednisone has it's own set of rules. Lol

Sweet dog letting you watch tv and crochet. Could be he's watching you so you don't leave him for another vacation!

You got a LOT done while not feeling well! Don't overdo - it takes a lot of energy to fight off those bad bugs!

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better! I'll bet the dog is too. I think animals can sense when something is not right about them. He was probably worried... Take it easy again tomorrow. If you don't feel well stay home and rest or go to the store and don't run around all over!

Prednisone can also make you hungry! Beware of that particular side effect and eat wisely! Have a better day tomorrow! emoticon

Our daughter and two grands are here. She has worked cleaning up wet stuff out of our flooded playroom in the basement all day. She even hacked the many trash bags to the dumpster at my husband's office in town so he wouldn't have to do it tomorrow. She's always been such a help to us, and the grands are sweet girls too. emoticon Sleep well!!!

Yes that jittery feeling, and also the wanting to eat, eat, when on prednisone. Oh how I remember those days. Glad to hear your feeling somewhat better.

Oh, I know what you mean about the prednisone. Hope you're on the mend soon!
