Last year I attempted NaNoWriMo for the first time.
NaNoWriMo is a challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. The "official" month is November. Of course, you can tailor it to whatever you want to challenge yourself with. Camp NaNoWriMo is a challenge to do the same--write a 50,000 word novel--in the summer. The "official" Camp NaNo month is April.
Well, my first attempt last November did not go completely as planned. I did my prep work in October and started my writing on November first. I didn't have a computer at the time so I was doing all of my writing by hand. I got to 19,820 words and about halfway through the outline I had prepared. Not bad for my first attempt.
Well, I have finally typed out what I wrote and for Camp NaNoWriMo, I'm going to finish the story I started in November. I don't know if I'll get to 50,000, but my goal is to get to the end of the story.
Writing starts tomorrow. Wish me luck!
