I have been working on being aware of how I feel throughout the day - allergies, negativity, tired, emotional hunger, etc.
I am getting good at being aware of how I feel but I would still make immediate gratification choices.
Today, I made several healthy choices and boy does it feel good.
Three times today I wanted to overeat and three times I took seconds. Three times after two bites I noticed the wanting was gone so I stopped. Before I would not have been aware of the satisfied feeling and would have finished my plate.
In other areas I noticed the same thing. I knew better, went ahead with my mindless choices but then stopped and made better choices.
I did it today and I can do it again tomorrow.
