Gastritis Home remedies?

Thursday, August 03, 2017

I am suffering from gastritis and gastroesophageal reflux since about 3 months. The cause of it is not clear, it could simply be stress related. I had a stomach reflection done and the Doc gave me Omeprazol. I took the drug for about 2.5months. I got diarrhea at first and then some slight relieve from the pain.

Since 2-3 weeks the drug seems not to work anymore. Therefore, I decided to start a fast and try some home remedies like chamomile tee and oat meal gruel. I have not eaten "real food" for 3 days now and tomorrow is the last day of the fast. On Saturday, I am going to start eating again, oats - rice - and boiled veggies at first. I am not sure if it is working or not, we shall see.

Does anybody have some advice for me? Any experience with GERD and gastritis?
Have a good day!

You might try googling "gastritis and candida"; low HCL acid; and H. pylori infection.
Candida overgrowth can cause a magnitude of ailments and infections.
There's an easy home test with baking soda for low stomach acid (often mistaken for too much acid) but the H. pylori requires a lab test.

Keep looking and searching for relief. I wish you well and hope you feel better soon!

Oh I do hope you'll find something that works! Starting by looking closely at what you eat is a good first step. Always preferred to get a handle on things without having to take meds. Maybe more tests to find the right diagnosis? Gute Besserung!

Have you had your heart checked recently? My boss was suffering from indigestion / acid reflux last year, but it turned out that was a symptom of heart disease rather than a primary cause.... she has not had stomach trouble since her bypass surgery in Feb.

My and I have acid reflux. Hang in there !!! It helps if you don't eat fried foods at all. Change to Olive oil if you do hamburgers, fish, chicken I'm the skillet. Although baked or boiled would be better. Try to stay away really acid based foods
