Wow, we're having fun putting together more partners for SparkPittsburgh/SparkAmerica/SparkEarth.
Today was nutty with a ton of new companies joining the next SparkPittsburgh challenge that starts on September 1. This included giant SAP/Ariba, a local university, a police department, and several HR directors at different companies.
Here's what one of our partners said (Bree from Babb) -- it's so much fun because even though we're from different companies, it feels like being on the same team with these partners:

We're all doing a bunch of extra work adding these teams.
Eventually, the goal is to have a global/national/local leaderboard structure so all of you can select your favorite affinities (location, favorite teams, favorite athletes or celebrities, more) so you'll be participating in these leaderboard challenges as well. All of your activity (steps/fitness minutes/sparkpoints) will be counted towards your favorite affinities.
Does that sound like fun?
Yesterday these same partners had the call I mentioned with one of the largest nonprofit names. It went great and we will likely be doing a challenge that could eventually include over 7,000 kids! This is all super-exciting.
We even have some longtime SP members helping out with all of this.
I got some fitness breaks in today between the crazy work including a 20 minute bike ride.

I am committed to a couple of goal right now:
1) Getting this challenge launched. I think this could be a lot of fun and a big way to help people, so I will work on this almost every day at least some.
2) I'm working to build the fitness level for my kids in various ways that I'll share more about on future blogs.
3) A commitment to keep my 10+ fitness minutes streak going.
