Peeing - accident or choice?

My 5 year old DGS peed his pants while watching his favorite program with DH. Was it an accident or by choice. The results are the same -- pee all over our chair and DH.

Apparently, at the time he would rather keep watching tv than go to the bathroom. We had a little talk and I doubt it will happen again.

I thought how I choose to do what I want over what I should do many a time. If the house is a little messy, it is obvious that I chose to do other things. If I am overweight, I chose to overeat. In both cases, the results were obvious.

Each time I overate, was it an accident (I couldn't help it) or a choice? It was by choice and because it was by choice I can do something about it. My little DGS probably won't pee in his pants again but I probably will overeat again and it will show.
