Night Shift, New Goals, and Baby #2

Ya'll I had another baby...
I was able to keep myself from gaining ALL of the weight back but just barely. I gained more this second time around than with my first so I am not sitting very pretty. Correction: I have a mom bod and I am really proud that it grew 2 little miracles but I know I've got some work to do. I've read that realistically it takes a year to recover postpartum. I have worked at it consistently this month, but it's been 8 months of not seeing the scale move. However, those of you who have lost any weight know that the scale isn't the only factor for determining success. I have logged many miles this month and I plan to continue this way until winter makes it impossible, and then I will switch to another physical activity to keep me motivated.
On top of being a busy mom, I have also been working the night shift for the last 6 months. This no sleep is a big no-no for weight loss but unfortunately there are no other options. I have decided that this is why I am not seeing the pounds come off. More stress and less sleep equal a toxic environment that holds onto it's fat stores. I must power through. This isn't forever. I repeat, this isn't forever.
Starting this September I have decided to jump on round 2 of Whole30. I look forward to learning new things, since there is always something to learn from this experience. It shouldn't be hard, I already eat a lot of the meals from the diet. The only thing I know will be tough again is removing the sugar. I have such a sweet tooth. Even though I learned that sugar is the biggest culprit of weight gain from the first round of Whole30, I still jumped right back into my sugar haven as soon as I was finished. It's so tough!
