Night Shift, New Goals, and Baby #2

Ya'll I had another baby...
I was able to keep myself from gaining ALL of the weight back but just barely. I gained more this second time around than with my first so I am not sitting very pretty. Correction: I have a mom bod and I am really proud that it grew 2 little miracles but I know I've got some work to do. I've read that realistically it takes a year to recover postpartum. I have worked at it consistently this month, but it's been 8 months of not seeing the scale move. However, those of you who have lost any weight know that the scale isn't the only factor for determining success. I have logged many miles this month and I plan to continue this way until winter makes it impossible, and then I will switch to another physical activity to keep me motivated.

On top of being a busy mom, I have also been working the night shift for the last 6 months. This no sleep is a big no-no for weight loss but unfortunately there are no other options. I have decided that this is why I am not seeing the pounds come off. More stress and less sleep equal a toxic environment that holds onto it's fat stores. I must power through. This isn't forever. I repeat, this isn't forever.

Starting this September I have decided to jump on round 2 of Whole30. I look forward to learning new things, since there is always something to learn from this experience. It shouldn't be hard, I already eat a lot of the meals from the diet. The only thing I know will be tough again is removing the sugar. I have such a sweet tooth. Even though I learned that sugar is the biggest culprit of weight gain from the first round of Whole30, I still jumped right back into my sugar haven as soon as I was finished. It's so tough!

So here's the updated stats:
August 2017 Weight 233 Size XXL and 18/20 pants
January 2018 Goal to be in ONEderland

Plan for Success:
60 minute moderate walking every day
Whole30 Diet
Weight Check-in once a week
Blog about it

    Heya! Thanks for the comment on my very old blog, and can I say WOW a second baby! Congratulations! I am in awe of those with more than one kid. Mine is a handful on the best days, I can't imagine having another as well! I hope all is well with you. Things are ok here. Both Squish and I are sick with colds but on a good note, I start Muay Thai tomorrow! I took a 2 week kickboxing trial and when it was over I decided I wanted to try something new instead and signed up for 3 months of Muay Thai. Fingers crossed for both you and me to stick to our new plans.

    I too have a sweet tooth. It is SO HARD to not eat it... I know if I just take it out of the house it will help but not when DH and my toddler still eat it. :P
