"OFF BALANCE"

Yes, ...yesterday, I lost my balance, fell backward, and landed on the top of my hand while trying to catch myself. By the time I got to ER, my hand was hanging, they took x-rays and it was wrist that broke...it did not look pretty at all, so the Orthopedic Dr. had to pull my hand forward to try to straighten my hand before it put on a stint (a stretch wrap holding some hard thing from my wrist to my elbow)..in 2 weeks I'll get a cast....I'm very frustrated with myself for being such a klutz...at least I'll learn to do things with my left hand..it just takes so long to do things. I'ts taken awhile to type this, but just wanted to explain what happened...thanks to Pat for leaving a comment on my page. :o))..will maybe try to stop by, and say hi.
thanks guys for putting up with me, and yet still being there for me...it helps a lot , makes me smil when I feel like crying, and crying is what I've been doing lately.]

    So sorry to hear about it. All my best to you always. I don't think you are a klutz, it is so easy to lose your balance. Especially as we get older. I have done it before and hurt my hand, shoulder, and hip. It didn't feel like I broke anything, just bruises, maybe a sprain. And I have fell before and sprained my wrists a couple of times in the past. Take care of yourself.

    Oh Sweet Lady, I would take the broken wrist for you if I could. If ever you feel like crying, come to me. I am so ridiculous that people end up laughing out of sheer relief they aren't as crazy as me.

    I think we end up in such a hurry that our bodies can't keep up with where our mind is taking us.

    So sorry to hear this Barb,it can happen to any of us.I broke my left arm
    2 times and same place when i was a child!My oldest Son broke his 3
    times!I can use both hands for writing or typing learned to that as a
    child as well.I am right handed so i thought well if i break my right one
    how will i be able to write.Don't worry about us we will be here when
    you are ready,just concentrate on taking care of yourself.Love You!

    Thank you Barbie for the update , I'm so sorry that you fell ! You are not a klutz , you have a brain that doesn't work like the rest of ours . I took 3 falls in one year and my son looked at me and said " are you doing any balance exercises ? " I realized that I was not , now I incorporate them into my daily life ! Ask the neurologist to give you a script for PT for your balance if they have not done so already ! I am so thankful that you were not injured more than just your hand ! I can not imagine the challenge you are facing with using a hand that is not used to being the dominate hand ! Congratulations for rising to yet another challenge in your life ! I just want to remind you that in your weakness the Lord will carry you ! Lean on Him hard with yet another challenge you face ,many here know that we need to step up our prayers for your safety daily . Many people that have the same issues would have given up and thrown in the towel , you have persevered ,you are a testimony to trusting in the Lord with all your heart ! Lord be with Barbie help her to get through this physical obstacle she faces today and over the next few weeks , help her to see Your love and Help in what ever manner You choose to give it . Send her a physical encouragement today , You love her and care for her despite what some may think is to much to bare . Help her to cast all her cares upon You for Yoke is easy making our burden light , we just need to bring our burdens to You ! Father show Yourself to Barbie today and always .
