Saddle Up.

Thursday, October 12, 2017

Catching up with kiddos on homeschool work, and had a lot of phone calls today that put me behind, though I did make it to saddle up and ride! Was hard to take a down day & I will plug in and get walking in tomorrow before our date night. This weekend is an important photoshoot, and date night to stir fry and to see the movie, "Good-bye Christopher Robin".

Looking forward to the longer run walk run this weekend. Two days a week are shorter & one is longer on the weekend. This is the first time of working out when I haven't been sore and felt better after the workout than before I started it.

Just wanted to log in- no miles walked today- though rode just over a mile, saddled up again at night and rode 15 minutes in the dark, it was lightly raining and lovely. Especially as I rode up the driveway towards the lights- the wet little leaves on the driveway were glistening like they were glowing. I always leave a string of Christmas lights up on my deck, so it was a bit special, albeit short ride tonight.

Feels good to ride, even if it was so short!

Blessings & Love,

KILTORE- I think this path is mostly worn due to us walking up and down it to take care of the horses! Yes, I have a degree in photography, though am also a homeschooling mom, it takes a lot of my time & energy- though they are growing up and I am trying to get at least a few photo sessions in per month. Mostly I donate my skills to local shelters, though am trying to become known in my area enough to at least cover my expenses. My software, website and additional memberships/services are almost a 1,000$ a year- and so far I have not covered that yet. It is so hard to know how to price in this market. This will be my first official year ( I graduated with my degree this spring ) seeking business, though I have been shooting for free for a long time. In the next blog, I will add an image of some of the studio work we do. I say we, because my sweet hubby and little boy so often help me tote everything around and set up my gear. emoticon MONAMAC1, yes the mud has returned! I have been riding less just because when I was completing my degree the first half of this year I had less time to homeschool with the children, and now I am furiously making up that time to get them caught up. They have been working through the summer and are doing good, though now it is bow season here and I am less eager to ride, not so much because of the bow hunters, though the pheasant, turkey and squirrel hunters are the ones we have had close calls with.

I've ben missing riding so much, that I just wanted to saddle up Houdini and ride, if only for a short time.

Thanks for sharing part of your ride! It was so relaxing to watch, especially how attentive your horse is to you. We have so much mud it's been impossible to ride which makes me sad because this is usually the very best riding weather. emoticon

Looks like a well worn path your horse knows how to navigate. Are you a photographer?
