I used to be an avid exerciser and healthy eater, but working, taking care of my family, and and going back to school changed all of that. I found myself eating junk food constantly (which I didn't usually do) and not exercising. It took a toll and 4 years later I have gained 10 lbs. Since May, when I finished school, I've been trying to get back into an exercise routine. It has been very slow going. Mainly because in my mind I'm still in good shape, but when I try to workout I'm not, then after working out I'm tired, sore, and frustrated. Although I do walk everyday, and I do get a hard work out in at least 2x per week, I want to do more. I haven't quite gotten there yet. I've been slowly increasing things and will eventually get to where I want to be, getting a hard work out in 4-5 x per week. But, I'm learning to respect where I'm at and know I can't rush it or I won't do it.
A quote I found recently:
You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one!
