November 2017

Sunday, November 12, 2017

It has been a difficult year, but I have been so blessed and carried through by the Lord. My family and I are so fortunate.

We were really busy this year. My husband had his 2nd back surgery (spinal fusion) back in June. Recovery has been slow, but has gone well with therapy. He is ready to go back to work in a few weeks. It has been tight but we never went without. My husband was able to go on a 2 mile hike, so I was very proud of him.

We started the school year again. My oldest is at that age where she is struggling to find her purpose in life. She is at college, but not quite finding herself yet. She is 20 years old. It is difficult to watch because this is something I can't fix. She must do this on her own. I am a type A person and I want to jump right in, but that is not going to help her in anyway. I am confidant that God will help.

My youngest is a senior in high school. She has been driving herself to and from school and to work. She rolled over her car into a wall when she lost control. She was able to walk away with only bumps and bruises. Praise God!

I unfortunately have not been paying attention to myself and have gone up in weight again. I am at 305 lbs and my hormones are everywhere. But I know that it is the stress of it all.

God is good! He is my strength. I know it will all be okay. emoticon

I hope everyone is doing well as we end 2017!

God bless emoticon

Goodness! so many stresses for you. From the picture of you and hubby, you look so happy so nice to see that and glad he is recovering. so hard to let our children handle things on their own, but is is something we need to do. I have learned that, but I still have my moments.
I am so happy your daughter is ok after that accident. Reminded me of the one I had at her age. I was able to walk away too, God was with me I am sure.
Many emoticon Hope things calm down for you,

Trials and hard times indeed. Stress isn't anyone's friend. Certainly messes with all the hormones and certainly causes weight gain. May God continue to carry you and your family.
