My mantra for this season...

Wednesday, November 15, 2017

Keep busy...no sitting doing nothing.
This is going to be a rough holiday season. No mom or dad for the first time in my life.

I will spend Thanksgiving with my brothers and their families but I have idea what Christmas will look like yet.

Today I had a good day. First off I did go to the post office and pick up a weeks worth of mail. Then out to lunch with the ladies from the quilt guild. Then I came home and did my blocks for this month and crochet Mary for the Nativity for my SIL. Now it's getting late and I think I'm getting tired.

Tomorrow will be another busy day. I'll go to block of the month meeting at noon and then a little shopping and back home to try to get the table runners all cut. And maybe if I have enough steam I'll start Joseph.

I would think this time of year would be especially busy for you creative types - finishing up all those projects and last-minute requests! (This is a problem I DON'T have!)

I would love to see a pic of the crochet nativity set when you are finished....cannot imagine what it will look like! The first “anything” after the loss of loved ones is difficult, I think. No matter our own age, it is hard when both parents have passed away. You are making a good choice by staying productive and busy.

Keeping busy is good, and you accomplished much today. Enjoy the block of the month meeting, and out shopping tomorrow. Hope you get the table runners cut out tomorrow and have time for crocheting done tomorrow too.
