And it's November

Thursday, November 16, 2017

Well, the new house is finished and we moved in on Nov. 2nd. Needless to say, we're getting settled but aren't quite there yet. Still can't park in the garage, but hopefully will be able to after that long Turkey day weekend. Moving is so hard on the weight, you'd think with all the packing and moving stuff you'd be down a few lbs, but NOOOOOO! All the fast food you eat while moving, while trying to find your dishes, etc. adds up FAST! emoticon emoticon Oh well, back to it. I did do some grocery shopping, found my cookware and have started working out a little on the cardio. Weight is slowly starting to come down. Hopefully Turkey Day won't ruin everything. It's just gonna be me, the hubby and younger daughter - grandkids will be with their Dad (bummer!) and older daughter will be elsewhere. So I'm thinking, we should keep it small and lite - yeah, right!

You can keep it small and lite with a little planning. If you must have turkey, get a breast. Make no more potatoes, dressing or veggies that won't be eaten at that meal. Have a fruit and veggie tray for an appetizer and not a big tray. The only thing that should be left over is some of the turkey breast and pie, unless you opt for tarts and place the rest in the freezer.
