A day without stamina

Tuesday, November 28, 2017

Today I woke up feeling uninspired. It was not a peaceful night. The one thing that will help the most is for the dog to get a haircut. He's looking a lot like a shaggy black sheep and is hot in the house. So he goes outside to cool down every couple of hours. Not much fun for either of us.

It took all my energy to work on the pin cushion and the quilt a while today. Then I decided I need to get the broken TV out of my sewing room so I carried it to the car. That little feat stirred up my asthma. That required a rest period. I've spent a lot of time today trying to talk myself into doing something. I've also had a headache on and off all day.

I stuck to comfort type food today and even had oatmeal for dinner tonight. I had a veggie with lunch and some fruit this afternoon. I've even seen the scale take a little run towards down again. I do really have to watch those portions.

So as for tomorrow. I'll have to run to a town about 70 miles away to recycle the TV and they have a bigger Walmart. So I'll take my list along. I hope I can find a place with a copy machine. I need to copy some patterns for a friend. That is what my list looks like for tomorrow. Then I can finish up the pin cushion on Thurs. and hopefully get some more work done on the quilt. I'm trying to stay positive. Taking it slow one day at a time.

Good job on trying to stay positive - it makes ALL the difference in how we end up feeling about our days!

I am so sorry that your day did not turn out well. A restless night of sleep will do that for you.

You need to be careful about carrying things. I have the same problem. When I want things moved to the storage building, rather thank ask my son who would be happy to do it, I do it myself even if it means sitting it down several times. Just be extra careful so you don't hurt yourself.

Hopefully, your trip to town tomorrow will be productive. Just take care of yourself and, yes, stay positive.

Yes we must take it one day at a time. Some are not the best at getting a lot done, but then those days we can run circles getting much accomplished are so rewarding. Hang in there, tomorrow can be better. Have fun shopping,
