Maybe I should have stayed in bed today

Thursday, November 30, 2017

It's a good thing that things happen in 3's. This morning I shut my right hand in the door. I was mad at the dog and I got the worst of it. Then later I was taking things out of the dryer (I almost need to climb in to get everything) I crushed my thumb on my left hand between the basket and the dryer. I'm so short and getting shorter all the time. And of course I had to rip out several seams while I was trying to sew today. The only thing that still hurts is the thumb. It looks like it's going to bruise good.

I worked on my list this morning. I stood in each room and decided what needed to be done first. It worked like a charm. I'm hoping that my fear of success doesn't make me feel bad and stop using it.

I also overate today. I made some nice scalloped potatoes and ham for dinner and it tasted so good. I had 2 helpings. But I also had one of those little sweet potatoes with it.

For tomorrows schedule I hope to get the pink sashing on the quilt squares for the baby blanket. I'll save my trip to the hardware store for Sat.

Good for you, Calamitie. You have everything under control.

I like your making lists for each room. That keeps you on your toes and it feels so good to check things off as done as you complete them.

The scalloped potatoes and ham sounds good. Just cut back on something tomorrow and you will be back on track.

Sorry to hear you had such a couple accidents today, and needed to rip out seams to on the quilt your working on. I too have a tough time reaching into the bottom of my washer to retrieve the clothing in the very bottom. I have one of those picker things for retrieving things but seem to never remember to use it until I'm finished washing. Glad to hear you have a new plan of attack for cleaning the house, keep using it and let that chore go much easier for you.

Watch out for those hands! They execute all the creative things you make and do! I hope the bruises heal fast and that they aren't sore! Keep Sparking!!!
