I knew it had to come soon....

Monday, December 04, 2017

We are under a winter weather advisory tomorrow into Tues. With rain turning to snow about 3 pm tomorrow. They are predicting only 2 to 4" not usually something to worry about but into the evening we will get winds up to 50 mph. I really don't want to go out and have to drive home on roads that have turned to ice with wind gusts and snow. So I will call and tell the guild leader that I won't be there tomorrow night. I know it will mess up the catered dinner but I'm not crazy enough to go out with blizzard like conditions possible. If it was in town here I'd go because blocks are easier to drive than 30 miles.

I so wish I actually had my life together. I just sort of slip and slide thru days. Some days are better than others. Today wasn't bad. I did finish the pin cushion. I posted it on one of my quilt websites on FB and it seems everyone thinks it's really a cool gift. That makes me feel more confident about making it.

I'm also going to call and cancel my oil change for Tues. morning. It's at 9 so that's just too early to get out on roads that could be bad.

I baked my turkey breast today. It was so good and tender and juicy. Tonight I enjoyed it with a baked potato but tomorrow I will start on some nice turkey sandwiches. I missed not having left overs after Thanksgiving.

Today I managed to go down to the basement and realized that I was trying to put the filter into the furnace wrong. No wonder I was so frustrated. I didn't really follow my list today but I did accomplish a really needed task. I took 2 garbage bags out to my car and cleaned it out. I dump way too many water bottles into the back seat. Just one of those tasks I always wait until I really need to do it.

I figure any day I can cross something off my "to do" list is a success!

emoticon I really love the pin cushion. You did a great job.

You are being wise to stay in and off the roads during these hazardous conditions. I know you will particularly hate missing your guild meeting but safety has to come first. The oil change can wait. emoticon

I'm not good at figuring how to install things either. At least you figured it out and can now have your furnace in good working order. The car clean-out is the worst task ever.

I don't blame you for not wanting to travel in winter snow with blowing winds, never liked doing it myself. ^The pin cushion is darling.
